Towards a search for an edible and biodegradable material, Salome wanted to compare two materials with a similar appearance: sugar and glass. She then wondered how to create colour from natural products. By numerous tests with fruits, plants or fruit and vegetable peelings, some have proved to be conclusive like the use of avocado pits.
By cooking this used product, it reveals a taupe or flesh colour. The colour can be preserved during cooking and also conducive to light diffusion. This random rendering produces a unique and mysterious object, enigmatic to the design of the product.
However, the main material can not be consumed at the moment, because of a cotton textile matrix. This ensures the durability of the object and its resistance to impact. This glass material allows me to protect the sugar from the heat exerted by the lamp.
